At least six people have been killed in a road accident after a pickup vehicle carrying over two dozen people was hit by a truck in Chhattisgarh’s Baloda Bazaar district, the Police said.
According to Police, the incident took place near Goda Bridge under Palari Police Station limits on Monday. A child and woman are also among those killed in the accident.
“A pickup vehicle carrying over 2 dozen people was hit by a truck leaving six dead. The accident took place near Goda Bridge under Palari Police Station limits,” said Deepak Jha, a senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Baloda Bazaar.
A similar road accident was reported in February this year where two persons were killed while 12 others were injured when a speeding tractor-trolley was overturned near Sankar village in the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh.
The incident occurred near the Akaltara Police Station area when the tractor-trolley carrying over 30 people was returning from a fair in Parsahi Nala on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
